Gods way or no way. The Hebrew word Derek (pronounced deh-rek) means way, road, or path. This word is used over 704 times in the Bible. So this is definitely a topic that the Lord wants us to understand well.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and II took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. by Robert Frost (1915) This is a common sentiment of many influential leaders in history. If interviewed they would have one thing in common they took the path less travelled. It is very easy to go with the flow, but it takes determination and fervent drive to break away and follow a different path.

I want to tell the story of a young man almost 19 years old when he left India for London, England to study law. After his bar, he failed at attempting to start a law practice in Bombay. He couldnt even get a job as a part-time high school teacher. So he ended up in Rajkot working a modest job, drafting petitions for litigants. He later went to South Africa and worked for an Indian firm there. It was there that he faced eminence discrimination. He was thrown off a train for refusing to move from first class to third class after he paid for and had a valid first-class ticket. After that ordeal, he travelled by stagecoach and was beaten by the driver for refusing to sit on the foot board to make room for a European passenger. It was through this unconventional path that this man witnessed firsthand racism, and prejudice. This is the life story of Mahatama Gandhi, he went on to coin the concept of non-violence, which was pivotal for the Indian independence movement. Gandhis philosophy was God is Truth and Truth is God.

Your lifes journey may bring you to new unfamiliar places, but be steadfast and know that God will direct your path.

Gods way or no way. Psalms 119:105 says Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Spend time reading the Bible. Not because someone told you to, but read to find direction and guidelines for your life. Your everyday walk with Jesus is found by diving into the scripture. You will feel close to him when you hear His Word. Recreational reading is fine, but its our duty to read the Bible and follow its commands. We should not wait to hear it on Sunday during a sermon, but we should read and follow it every day.

In my personal life, I have always found that while in medical school, studying always went better after reading the Bible. The words seemed clearer and stuck in my memory better after reading the Word of God. If you dont believe me, try it yourself.

Gods way or no way. The Word of the Lord with brighten your way and bring light to darkness. Therefore, casting out fear and making your steps firm.

When we read Exodus 13:17-22, we see the guidance of the Lord for the Israelites as he led them out of Egypt. Exodus 13:17 says God did not lead them on a road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. Gods way or no way.

The Israelites probably wanted to take this route because it was the most direct path from Goshen to Canaan, but the Lord directed their way. The Lord protected the Isrealities from a heavily guarded Philistine country with many Egyptian fortresses along that path.

God led the people about through the way of the wilderness towards the Red Sea. If the Israelites thought with their earthly, they might doubt God and question this way. Why God are you leading us to a dead end?

Gods way or no way. His divine plan was made true. Exodus 13:21 says By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light so that they could travel by day and night.

These pillars were visible symbols of Gods presence among His people. Exodus 13:22 also goes on to say Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.

The Lord is telling you that He HAS NOT left you. He is going in front of you to pave the way for your future. You must be faithful and never doubt His guidance and direction. He will guide you by day and night. Even when you think that you are at a dead end in your life, remember that your journey is NOT over. The Lord that we serve will always make a way where there seems to be no way.

Gods way or no way. Young children of God remember God will direct your path. Walk out in faith. Pursue your dreams. Always know that nothing is impossible with Christ. My favorite verse is Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me reminds me of the endless, limitless goals that I can accomplish through Christ.

Jesus says in John 14:12-14 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it.

No matter your circumstance, no matter your obstacles, no matter your shortcomings, no matter your faults, no matter your deficiencies, God will DIRECT your path. You must submit to the WILL of God, have faith in Him and He will do the rest.

Jeremiah 6:16 the Lord says Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. The Lord tells us the way is paved, but you must ask for His guidance.

Gods way or no way. John 14:6 says I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Our salvation was made possible through the cost Jesus paid on the cross. We must accept the Lord as our Personal Saviour and live our life for Him. In so doing, our way is made clear and our eternity will be with our
Heavenly Father.

I want to reiterate that No matter your circumstance, no matter your obstacles, no matter your shortcomings, no matter your faults, no matter your deficiencies, God will DIRECT your path. In your lifes journey, remember that your path is unique for YOU and ask God for His direction and He will surely lead you to a road of victory and blessings beyond measure.
