to thepraize- the inner-spiritual-being, or the-inner-self or the-soul needs periodic rejuvenation and reaffirmation to replenish its needs on faith and spiritual-growth! just like the outer-body needs food for its sustenance, the inner soul needs replenishment for its needs for spiritual sustenance or else the spiritual-self will fade off in its passion on faith and spiritual growth. we attain this spiritual-needs of replenishment through lively-worship and sermons, through heavenly ordained servants of god and not by ritualistic-worship. the ritualistic-worship might be pleasing to the human eye,but god does not dwell on it nor pleased by it. god is looking at your lively praise and worship.these ritualistic-worship came into existence for convenience sake and by wrong interpretations of the word-of god.the eastern churches like you mentioned, which dwells on ritualistic practices has been doing that for years and they got so stamped on it and now they have to cling on it,even when-??

I would like to keep my promise of not
writing many comments. However, it is
very hard for me not to write comments
when some intertesting topics come
across. There is an age old tradition
practiced by the Hindus in Karnataka
at this time. They roll over
the food waste of the Brahmins in the banana leaves, as a healing source
for skin problems. It was banned by the
government, but some blind believers are
very adamant that they must pratice it.
About fifty years back, I have watched that some people were eating from the left over
food on the banana leaves eaten by
the Christian Priests. One day, my
father got mad at a person who tried to take these leaves inside the house and
told him put outside for the dogs to eat. Man-made religious traditions are very hard
to change and the blind followers are
afraid of a divine wrath if violated.
Let us talk about the many

spirituality has become farce these days and therefore younger generation is truly not keen,i agree with asm and joy that we need to move forward from the traditions, the other aspect to this thought is how are the eastern churches, marthoma, orthodox, dealing with this situation, since they are more confined to ritualistic practises. My question is,is it a phenomena just applied to pentecostal churches? Blessings

The traditional Churches from Kerala are very eagerly trying to expand their denominational kingdoms in the west, but one day, most of the fancy Church buildings are going to be half-empty. The young generation who are spiritual is fed up with the age old traditions and the lack of spirituality. Another set back created is the appointment of Indian-born Priests to the U.S. and other western countries. The western born young generation will not tolerate the conservative and dictating attitude of the newly landing clery. So, a great exodus of the young generation has already started and they are going to the contemporary American Churches. The Kerala Pentecostal Churches also must watch the trend. The age old traditions started by the old time leaders must be changed in certain issues like " external holiness" " we are the only going to heaven" " the blind trust in the ledership format" " politics in the Church" etc etc.

the cy-clo style formats of worshiping in the so called traditional churches became so boring to the younger generation that, they were almost on the verge of migrating to the nominal churches, which doesn't really have a true born-again experience. the application of the newer versions of worship were able satisfy the spiritual needs of our younger generation and were able to prevent the migration of our youngsters to other nominal churches. thanks to the efforts of 'thanku-brother in this new direction. the efforts of pastor sunny phillip is remarkable too, he was able to instill, sustain and generate a spirit of godliness in the younger generation.

i must admit that this meeting was very different from many of the meetings i have attended in kerala. the co-operation of the people showed that they wanted the meeting. there was an excitement and fervor unlike many other conventions. i really enjoyed being part of it. may god continue to bless much efforts.
