In Mark 8:34 and Luke 9:23, Jesus taught the disciples very affirmately that if anybody
is following Him, he must deny himself and take up the cross and follow Him.
Repeatedly we hear about "leadership"
conferences, but hardly we hear about
"discipleship" conferences.
It seems like, nobody is interested to
follow Christ through self denial and
true discipleship, but only through
carrying the bag of prosperity and
marching in front of everybody at the
parade. We blame idol worship, but many people can't understand that wealth is man-made, and when we worship
it, that is truly an idol worship. If we love material things above GOD, then GOD will teach us a very hard lesson by
taking that idol of wealth from us.
It has already started, at first in the
U.S., and gradually marching to all parts of the world.
